Cross-country

Bang, as the race started all the year 7 girls went racing off. Ala was first after her was Pesi with the rest trailing behind.

I got to Mr Harris, he was on the reserve, I had a rest because I felt sick so he said, “Do you want to stay or keep running,” and I replied, “Keep running,” so I started running.

When I was running my legs were very sore. My face was so red that I felt like a drink of water.

After the race I felt relieved that it was done. When I got to the end of the race I felt like I was going to vomit

  1. Hi Aliza,
I like your writing about cross country, I got tired too. I regret running barefoot with all the stones and sticks on the path. Your writing does a great job of taking me back to Cross Country.
    Way to go!

  2. Hi Aliza,

Very nice blog! I am a student at the University of South Alabama in the United States, and I have just started blogging for my EDM 310 class as well.

Great job choosing to keep running and not giving up during the race. It takes a strong-willed person to keep going when things get tough. You should be proud that you kept going when your legs were sore and you needed a drink of water. Keep trying your best and you can achieve anything you want. Did it feel good to complete the race even though you felt sick?

I hope you continue to post regularly so I can read more. You can follow me on Twitter at @jpcometti.

    Good luck,
